Mark
1:35 Jesus gets up before the sunrise and goes out to a desolate place to pray.
Where
is your desolate place? This is where
intimacy is born, this is ‘alone time’ with God, it is face to face. This is where we are re-assured of who
God is and subsequently who we are becomes clear. Where is your desolate place? Don’t know if your doing what you were created to do, find a
desolate place and in Jesus come before God and find out. Don’t know why you are the way you are,
why you behave the way you do, find a desolate place and in Jesus come before
God and find out. I used to feel
shame (sometimes I still do) coming before the creator God with all of my
brokenness and fears, but it is there, in my desolate place that I find the
balm and strength of God in Jesus.
Find a desolate place to be with God, and discover yourself.
Colossians
3:1-4 If then you have been raised
with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the
right hand of God. Set your minds
on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and you life
is hidden with Christ in God. When
Christ who is you life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
