The Lukewarm King

Tomorrow I will be teaching on Psalm 51.
This particular Psalm takes place following the time when David committed adultery with Bathsheba, conceived a child (which dies a week after birth), and murdered her husband Uriah the Hittite (a faithful soldier in David's army).
God used Nathan a Hebrew prophet to confront David in such a way that it led to David's repentance.
The thrust of my preaching about this particular Psalm is to ask and answer the question "how in the world did King David fall in such a profound way?".
I believe the answer to be "David became lukewarm".
Along with the text of 1 & 2 Samuel and Psalm 51, God used a sermon by Mark Driscoll  (on Revelation 3) to inform and direct the teaching for tomorrow.
I hope to see everyone there, along with some new faces!

Driscoll's sermon is well worth 45 minutes, enjoy!

Also, tomorrow is two years since we planted "The Journey Leadership and Devotional Community".  Thank You Lord Jesus for building Your church and giving us the privilege of participating in that with You!
